What setup covers. US carriers require each community to be registered under its own name before its texts are delivered. We file that registration for your association and give it its own sending number. Approval usually takes one to three weeks. Your association needs its legal name and EIN. If carriers reject the filing, setup includes 2 free re-filings for a toll-free number; a local 10DLC number’s filing is covered once. Beyond that, contact support.

When the yearly fee starts. Your SMS year starts on the day carriers approve your community, not on the day you sign up.

What a segment is. A text of up to 160 standard characters is one segment. Longer texts, or texts containing emoji or special characters, use more segments. Before every send, we show you how many segments the message will use and what your balance will be afterward.

The fine print, in plain words.

Packs are prepaid. We use your oldest pack first.
We never bill for usage after the fact. If your balance is too low, the text isn’t sent, and you can send by email or buy a pack.
If a text fails to send, its segments go back to your balance.
Texts go only to residents who have opted in, and only to US mobile numbers. Nothing is sent between 9 pm and 8 am in your community’s time zone.
Sending more than about 2,000 texts a day? Talk to us about a high-volume sender.

Example: a 78-home HOA that texts a one-segment notice to 60 opted-in residents uses 60 segments. A 500-segment pack ($25) covers about eight of those notices.
